BELLEFONTE — Clearfield squeezed past Bellefonte 4-3 to salvage a split in season-opening VFW Teener League Fall Ball at Governors Park Sunday afternoon.
Marcus Luzier, Jarrit Wagner and Seth Bumbarger had two hits apiece and Jon Trimpey added a double, while Zane Morgan picked up the win when Clearfield snapped the tie with the deciding run in the top of the seventh inning.
Clearfield was held to two hits, one a double by Wagner, in the first game, a 6-1 loss to Mifflin County.
The next game is scheduled against DuBois at Showers Field Thursday at 4:15 p.m.
