CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Bank and Trust Company President, Mike Bibak, recently presented a $15,000 contribution to the Clearfield Soccer Association.
Receiving the contribution are Andy Spencer, Lisa Soult and Alan Walker. Clearfield Bank & Trust Company is pledging $3,000 per year for five years to assist with the upgrades to the soccer complex.
Bibak stated, “We are honored to be able to support the Clearfield Soccer Association. This donation is made not only in support of the countless children positively impacted by the association, but also in support of the economic stimulus the improvements to the field will generate throughout our Clearfield community.”
The association is currently in the process of trying to raise $160,000 to receive a matching state grant of $160,000. Modernization improvements planned for the complex include: paving the access road to the complex, running electric power back to the field house, connecting to the to the township septic system, erecting a storage building and picnic pavilion and developing further playing fields.
Association President Bob Aleksivich added, “The CSA greatly appreciates the support of Clearfield Bank and Trust as we take these next steps towards providing our area youth with the best possible facilities to train and play the game of soccer.”
