DUBOIS – The next gathering of the Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group’s Beautification Committee will be at 12 p.m. Sept. 16 at 321 W. Long Ave., next door to Frank’s Pizza.
The group will be commemorating the new “Pocket Park” installed by volunteers from the Lowe’s Heroes program with a ribbon-cutting.
The “Pocket Park” is a culmination of volunteers from Lowe’s and the Beautification Committee brain-storming project ideas.
The project needed to have high impact to an area that needed improvement. Also, it had to be doable in a couple of days.
The “Pocket Park” ties in with the Beautification Committee’s goals of a public art and improvement project at least yearly.
