Jeremy Burton Learish, 15, of Clearfield died Sunday, July 26, 2015. He was born May 6, 2000 in Clearfield, a son of David P. and Laurel (Hemphill) Learish of Clearfield.
He attended the First Baptist Church, Clearfield. He was known for being happy and full of energy and not afraid to try new things.
He loved riding his four-wheeler and also enjoyed baseball, hunting and spending time at camp. Most of all, he loved life, especially when he was with his family or just hanging out with his friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kaitlyn Learish of Clearfield; his maternal grandfather, Alan Hemphill of Black Forest, Colo.; his paternal grandmother, Joan L. Learish of Clearfield; his aunts and uncles, Laurie Barney and her husband, Charlie, Lisa Zalno and her husband, Ron and Marcia Altemus and her husband, Dean, all of Clearfield, Tammy Hemphill and Rick Hemphill and his wife, Becky both of Colorado; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gerry Hemphill and paternal grandfather, Jack Learish.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Presbyterian Church, Clearfield, with the Rev. Robert Achey officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Attn: Judi Bookhamer, 2831 Washington Ave., Clearfield.
