State police at Clearfield
- An accident occurred July 21 on Green Acre Road in Bigler Township. Shiann E. Martin of Madera became distracted, which caused her to lose control of her vehicle. Her vehicle traveled approximately 72 feet on the eastern side before wrecking into a ditch. Martin was wearing her seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. Her vehicle was towed from the accident scene. Martin was cited for careless driving, state police said.
- An accident occurred Saturday on Interstate 80 in Bradford Township. Nathan A. Petitti of DuBois was traveling west when his vehicle exited the left side of the roadway; it spun counterclockwise across the grassy median. His vehicle then overturned and entered the eastbound lanes of I-80 before coming to a rest. Petitti was wearing his seatbelt and sustained moderate injuries; he was cited for the accident.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime July 20-21 on Haines Road and Bloomington Avenue Extension in Curwensville. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged mailboxes. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of burglary occurred sometime July 14-17 on the Drane Highway in Osceola Mills. During the incident, someone allegedly entered a garage and removed a rifle, a 12-guage shotgun and a .45-caliber cap and ball revolver. A $500 reward is being offered for any information leading to the recovery of the firearms. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sunday on Power Lane in Gulich Township. During the incident, a 30-year-old Morann man allegedly kicked the victim’s passenger’s side door, causing footprints to be left on it. Damage is estimated at $50; the man was cited for the incident, state police said.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of harassment occurred Sunday on Zuccolotto Lane in Snyder Township. During the incident, a Brockway couple allegedly assaulted the victim. Both were charged for harassment, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of harassment occurred Sunday at the AMVETS in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known male allegedly punched the victim in the face. Charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
State police at Punxsutawney
- An incident of harassment occurred Friday on Shaffer Road in Ringgold Township. During the incident, a known woman allegedly pushed the victim; however, prosecution was declined, state police said.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sunday on Yates Road in Young Township. During the incident, someone allegedly threw multiple eggs at the victim’s residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
- An incident of criminal mischief/scattering rubbish occurred sometime July 13-18 on O’Donnell Road in Knox Township. Further, the victim told state police that garbage was left on his property. He also told state police that windows were smashed out of a structure on the property. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
- An incident of criminal trespass occurred July 23 on Second Street in Henderson Township. During the incident, a Stump Creek woman allegedly trespassed onto the victim’s property.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Sunday on Interstate 80 at mile-marker 86 in Pine Creek Township. A semi-tractor was traveling in the left-hand lane while a Hyundai Tuscan was in the right-hand lane of I-80. At some point, the semi-tractor struck the left, rear area of the Tuscan, which caused it to spin counterclockwise on the roadway. The operator of the semi-tractor then fled the scene, state police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a report about marijuana being smoked in the area. The complaint was unfounded, police said.
- Police were contacted about a female who was allegedly selling her roommate’s belongings while the owner was in the hospital. The complaint was determined to be civil in nature, police said.
- Police responded to a report about a dog left inside a vehicle. Upon arrival officers found the car windows to be down and the sunroof to be open. The dog did not appear to be in any distress, police said.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of West Sixth and Nichols streets. A backseat passenger complained of head pain but was evaluated by emergency personnel and determined to be OK, police said.
- Police received a complaint about an alleged incident of identity theft. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police responded to an alleged domestic dispute between brothers at residence along Bigler Avenue. Both were separated for the night, police said.
- Police responded to the area of Clearfield and Williams streets for a report about a male going door-to-door to sell meat. The actor was gone upon police arrival in the area.
- Police responded to a burglar alarm at a local business. Upon arrival police determined it to be a false alarm.

- Police responded to a vehicle accident at a business along South Second Street. Upon arrival police found that a male backed his vehicle into a parked car. No injuries were reported, police said.

- Police received a report about an alleged physical domestic dispute in the area of the Bloomington – Glen Richey Highway. During the incident, a male allegedly fled the scene with a child. Clearfield Borough police were able to locate the vehicle, and the child hadn’t been in any harm. Police took the male into custody and he was put in the Clearfield County Jail on multiple charges.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred on South Second Street. Police were able to identify the actor, and charges are currently pending at this time.

DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to an accident Thursday at 100 Hospital Ave.  Officers learned that a 24-year-old St. Mary’s woman was backing out of her parking space when her vehicle’s accelerator became stuck and she was unable to apply her brakes.  She traveled in reverse and struck two parked cars as a result.  The parked cars were unoccupied, and all appeared to be drivable.  No injuries were reported in the accident, police said.
- On Thursday police received a report about two dogs that were allegedly stolen from a Maple Avenue resident. Further, the resident told police his two beagles were stolen from their pens in his backyard. Police said it appears that their locks were cut off; the incident remains under investigation at this time.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report that a man abandoned his vehicle along Oklahoma Salem Road after he was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Saturday. A witness stated that when she drove up on the scene a young man was stumbling around and running in front of vehicles looking for a tow strap. The accident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- On Saturday a 28-year-old DuBois man alleged being harassed by phone by his 26-year-old ex-girlfriend. Police handled the situation without incident.
- A 56-year-old Kalgren Road woman alleged that when she returned home Saturday she discovered someone had broken into her house. Nothing was taken but the back door had been tampered with and a radio had been moved, police said.
- A 35-year-old Penfield man was caught by Wal-Mart employees attempting to take a $38.08 watch without paying for it on Sunday. Charges are pending at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Sears on Sunday.
- On Sunday a 59-year-old Treasure Lake woman got distracted while traveling on the Bee Line Highway and was unable to stop her vehicle in time to avoid hitting another driven by a 19-year-old Treasure Lake man that was stopped at a light. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.

- Police received a report about a male juvenile who was seen riding a scooter on the Sandy Bridge on Sunday. Upon arrival officers discovered the boy had left home to go to his cousin’s house after his mom put him to bed. Officers handled the situation without incident.
