CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Borough’s Code Enforcement Officer brought to light an issue the downtown area is facing and violators will be heavily fined.
Larry Mack told borough council at Thursday night’s meeting that there is a major problem with dog owners not picking up after their dogs in the downtown area. Mack stated, “its a bad problem all over downtown.” The issue has been addressed with the chief of police and dog owners who are caught not picking up after their animals will be fined $300 for each offense.
Another problem Mack has seen are residents doing work on their homes without the proper, or any, permits. Mack stated that the garbage problem is escalating in the borough as well.
