DuBOIS- A DuBois woman is facing charges following an incident in a local grocery store.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office July 10, Ashley Lynn Solida, 28, 419 W. Spruce St., DuBois, is charged by the DuBois City police with disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance, and public drunkenness, following an incident June 30.
According to the affidavit, police were called to the Giant Eagle store for a woman who may have overdosed on drugs. The officers were told the woman was laying on the floor of the bathroom.
When the officers arrived, they found the woman, later identified as Solida, acting loud and belligerent. The officers attempted to speak to Solida, but she allegedly tried to hit the officer. As the officers attempted to place Solida under arrest, but she continued to struggle. The officers tried to take Solida out the side door, but she allegedly continued to scream, yell and swear at the top of her lungs.
Believing Solida was under the influence, she was taken to the hospital where she allegedly was talking incoherently.
Hospital staff found a syringe and pills, which were allegedly hidden in Solida’s bra, and another syringe was found in Solida’s purse.
