 Police responded to a minor two-vehicle accident that occurred on state Route 879 at Wolf Run. A Clearfield man, who was driving a sedan, was cut off at the intersection by the driver of a Mazda SUV. The driver of the sedan braked to stop in order to avoid hitting the SUV. A truck, which was operated by a Curwensville man, was following the sedan. The truck also braked but was not able to stop in time and hit the sedan. The Mazda left the scene. Neither of the drivers were injured and both vehicles were driven away from the scene.
Police received a report of a pit bull that was running loose on Montgomery Run Road. Police searched the area for the dog but after speaking to several residents learned that the dog was retrieved by its owner.
Police responded to a request to check on the welfare of a man who was walking on Old Pine Grove Nursery Road. The man had been seen in the area for the last couple of days and in the same clothes each time. Police talked to the man who said he was out walking. The man said he usually wore the same outfit to workout in.
Police received a call about a brown dog, possibly a boxer, that was loose on McPherson Street. They learned that the animal had been retrieved by its owner.
Police responded to a report of a suspicious person who was harassing customers at a local retail store. Police searched the area but the man was already gone.Â
Police received a report from a Clearfield man of harassment by communication in which a Philipsburg woman was sending unwanted phone calls and text messages. Charges are pending further investigation.
Police received a call from a traveler who wanted police to know that she found a hair in her food that she had purchased from a local restaurant. Police told her that it was not a matter for them to handle and advised her to speak with the management of the restaurant.
