John W. Steiner, 47, of Morrisdale died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at his residence. Born June 11, 1968 in Philipsburg, he was the son of John H. and Joann Kanouff Steiner of Morrisdale.
Mr. Steiner was a 1986 graduate of the West Branch Area High School, Allport. He was a member of the Woodland Church of Christ. Mr. Steiner was employed by Ruan Logistics, DuBois.
He is survived by a daughter Ashley Steiner of Madera and a son, Andrew John Steiner of Niagara Falls, NY. He is survived by his step-children, Laura, Faith and Joey, all of Niagara Falls, NY.
He is also survived by three sisters, Cynthia Ecklund and her husband, Ron of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Helen Steiner of Clearfield and Dawna Klett and her husband, John of West Decatur and a brother, Chester Steiner and his wife, Sandra of Hazel Green, Ala.
Mr. Steiner was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale, with Christian brother, David Krupa officiating. Burial will be in the Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, in care of John W. Steiner, P.O. Box 238, 171 Deer Creek Rd., Morrisdale, PA 16858.
