Born July 2, 1946 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Arthur L. Bordas & Christine (Botwright) Bordas Buell.
A veteran of the US Army, he served during Vietnam. Barry was Commander of the Am Vets Post 159, Philipsburg and was extremely influential in supporting the community and local charities.
He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Trike, his four-wheeler, and horses, shooting guns and drinking beer. He was employed as a truck driver for various area trucking companies.
Barry is survived by two daughters Chrissy “Hunky” Bordas and Heather “Bones” Sadauskas, both of Imperial, PA; three grandchildren Andrew Dillon, Taylor Sadauskas and Tori Sadauskas; a great granddaughter Ava Dillon; one sister Elaine Persio of Ebensburg; two brothers Arthur Bordas and his wife Laura of Philipsburg and John Bordas and his wife Sandra of Philipsburg; a sister in law Vickie Bordas of Hudson; numerous nieces and nephews; and his Am Vets family.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother James Bordas and a brother in law Geno Persio.
Barry’s larger than life personality, red hair and sense of humor mesmerized everyone when he walked into a room. He had so many friends and was always the life of the party. Barry’s wishes were to have no visitation or funeral service but to have a drink on him. The one and only; the legend…Barry Bordas. “It’s a long story.” “Yeah, Buddy!!”
