A man fell to his death after clinging to the bottom of a British Airways jet as it approached London’s Heathrow airport, the airline said Friday.
The plane was flying from Johannesburg to London when the man fell from the plane Thursday and landed in Richmond, south west London.
A second man, also hiding in the undercarriage of the plane, was injured and hospitalized.
“We are working with the Metropolitan Police and the authorities in Johannesburg to establish the facts surrounding this very rare case,” British Airways said.
