Tyrone, Pa – For the past few months people have been admiring the handsome new building constructed at the busy intersection of Pleasant Valley Boulevard and Sabbath Rest Road. The new building, Pinecroft Medical Center, is Tyrone Regional Health Network’s (TRHN) most recent project and another notch in its primary care network.
The new Pinecroft Medical Center opens June 22nd with two TRHN physicians offering services at that location.
“This new facility lets us bring Tyrone Regional physicians close to home for people who live or work in the growing Northern Blair County area. This includes northern Altoona, Bellwood, Tipton, Bellmeade and Pinecroft areas,” said Stephen C. Gildea, MBA, FACHE, CEO at Tyrone Regional Health Network. “People are very aware of the facility and we have heard a lot of positive feedback about Tyrone Regional being accessible closer to Altoona.”
Bellmeade Family Medicine, the office of Fidelis Ejianreh, D.O., Alexas Claar, CRNP and Tia Dudukovich, PA-C relocated to the Pinecroft Medical Center from their previous location in the neighboring Martin’s plaza. Dr. Ejianreh needed additional space for his growing practice. “I am excited to be at this new facility and an ultra modern environment”, said Dr. Ejianreh. “This will afford me more space to see clients and expand our services (including aesthetic medicine). The whole staff is excited!”
Internal medicine physician Lawrence Levinson, M.D. said after almost 32 years, he has closed his practice at the Tipton Medical and Diagnostic Center. Dr. Levinson, Kay Fiore, CRNP and staff have relocated to the new Pinecroft Medical Center. “My staff and I are now part of Tyrone Medical Associates, TRHN’s primary care physician group,” said Dr. Levinson. “Under the leadership of CEO Stephen Gildea, we will continue to help TRHN become the mouse that roared.” In addition to primary physician care, Dr. Levinson will also continue to conduct clinical medication trials at his new office location.
Over the summer, additional providers will be moving into the new medical center. ProCare will open an outpatient physical and occupational therapy facility. Other physicians are also eyeing office space at the facility. Mr. Gildea said he expects the building to be fully occupied by fall.
The Pinecroft Medical Center was constructed by local developer Jeff Long. The former LaScalia’s building was expanded to 12,670 square feet to provide the space needed for the medical center. Plans for the new facility were developed cooperatively by leaders from TRHN and ProCare, a leading physical and occupational therapy provider.
In addition to the Pincecroft Medical Center, Tyrone Regional Health Network also provides primary physician care at Tyrone Medical Associates and the Tyrone Hospital Rural Health Clinic –both located on the TRHN campus, the Tyrone Hospital Rural Health Center in Houtzdale and Toftrees Family Medicine in State College. TRHN also manages the Glendale Area Medical Center in Coalport.
