WOODLAND – Police are investigating numerous incidents of burglary and robbery that has occurred in the past weeks and months.
The Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested James P. Hoopsick, 28 of Houtzdale, and a 15-year-old boy for crimes including robbery in which two armed people entered the residence of a 91-year old woman’s residence and stole cigarettes and medication.
Hoopsick was arraigned before District Judge Hawkins and was held at the Clearfield County Jail. The boy was taken into custody by the Clearfield County Juvenile Probation and was placed into custody in a detention center.
Police reported that more people will be arressted in the near future for their involvement in these crimes. They plan to make arrests on other burglaries and thefts in the area.
