BOGGS TOWNSHIP – A 27-year-old West Decatur man, Randy J. Hanes, was killed in an accident Sunday on Salem Road in Boggs Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.
Hanes was traveling north when he lost control of his vehicle. When it traveled onto the east berm, he attempted to regain control. However, it spun 90 degrees counter-clockwise and overturned several times.
Hanes was ejected from the vehicle, which came to a final rest on the east berm of Salem Road. Hanes wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. Clearfield County Coroner Mike Morris pronounced Hanes dead at the scene, according to state police.
State police were assisted at the scene by the Philipsburg and Bigler-Jackson-Woodland fire departments.
