Mary Lou Smith, 80, of DuBois died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at her residence.
Born Feb. 17, 1935 in Reynoldsville, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Rentovich) Meholick.
On May 23, 1970, she married Melvin C. Smith. He survives.
Mrs. Smith worked at Rockwell International Manufacturing for 17 years.
She was a member of the Nativity Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church. She volunteered her time playing the organ at Christ the King Manor. She enjoyed gambling and bowling.
She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Kronenwetter of DuBois; a son, Allen C. Smith and his wife, Jill of Derry, NH; and three sisters, Madeline Marshall and Dorothy “Dot” Frederick, both of DuBois, and Rose Marie Vrobel of Heath, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Leslie Smith and a sister, June Henry.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A divine liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Nativity Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Simeon B. Sibenik as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
