PHILIPSBURG – Weary of winter weather? Why not visit 1 N. Front St. Café on March 7 for entertainment for the entire family?
The Well, a church new to the Philipsburg area, will host Beat the Blues, an afternoon of acoustic guitar at the café from 2-5:00 p.m. While adults listen to music by local musicians and enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea, children can take part in a multitude of activities. There will be a puppet show, temporary tattoos and an Easter craft.
The Pennsylvania State Police will conduct finger printing for the children. In addition, artist Steve Albert will draw caricatures and Roger McGarry will perform rope tricks. Members from the Hyde Wesleyan Church will be present to discuss their recent missionary trip to Haiti, which took place at the height of the earthquake January 12.
Participants who register for information about The Well will be eligible to win gift certificates at area restaurants. The Well will also be advertising a coping with loss support group that begins March 9 at 6:00 p.m., open to those who have experienced any type of loss.
