The Odd Couple
The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre has announced a change in their live theatre performance schedule. The play “A Hotel on Marvin Gardens” has been switched to “The Odd Couple” – female version.
The play is set in the living room of Olive’s messy apartment in New York City. She’s invited the girls over for a rousing game of Trivial Pursuit.
Her long-time friend, queen of clean Florence, has recently separated from her husband and Olive has agreed to let her stay while things are decided or worked out.
The show runs the same dates – May 14-16 and May 21-23 – with curtain at 7 p.m. each show night. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m.

Spring Gas-up
Luthersburg
The Susquehanna Antique Machinery Association will hold its annual spring gas-up Saturday and Sunday, May 16-17. It will be held at the show grounds along U.S. Route 219 near Luthersburg. There will be antique and garden tractor pulls, hit and miss engines, tractor and equipment displays, chainsaw carving demonstrations, a kid’s pedal tractor pull, barrel train rides, a flea market and food, etc. A consignment auction will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16.
Fishing Derby
Lower Witmer Park, Clearfield
The 41st annual fishing derby will be held Saturday, May 16 by the Old Town Sportsmen’s Association at Lower Witmer Park, Clearfield. Age groups will be 1-5 years, 6-10 years, 11-15 years, 16-20 years and 20 years and over. Limits of the derby are from the Hyde Bridge to the Moose Creek inlet on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. For more information, please call 814-765-6354.

The Clearfield/Shawville Social Sojourn Paddle will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 17. It is a scenic 11.2-mile and 2.5-hour paddle of the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. Tour de Parks Bike Ride/7K
The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre’s Tour de Parks Bike Ride/7K will take participants through Elliott and Parker Dam State Parks on Sunday, May 17. Riders will have their choice of four options: 5, 15, 22 or 35 miles through the forests. The 7K participants will travel the same basic path as the shortest bike ride.
