COALPORT – The Clearfield State Police reported that a Coalport woman’s residence was burglarized at approximately 3:50 a.m. today.
According to the report, two unknown males forced entrance into a 91-year-old Coalport woman’s residence. Once inside, the two rummaged through the residence.
Police said the males encountered the victim, asking for her money. They said the woman related she didn’t have any.
They said the males then inquired about the location of her safe. They said she related she didn’t have one.
Police said the two males fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. They said both males were wearing glasses.
Police said it’s currently unknown if the two males removed any items from the residence.
They indicated the males damaged a glass window to the rear entrance as well as a wooden door to the basement. Damage is estimated at around $100 total.
