Anthony W. “Tony” Pavlick Sr., 78, of Philipsburg died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.
Born Nov. 15, 1936 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Anton and Helen A. (Hydock) Pavlick.
He married the former Beatrice M. Herr on Aug. 24, 1957 at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg. She survives at home.
Mr. Pavlick was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg. He was also a lifetime member of the Clearfield Beagle Club. He was a lover of Beagle dogs and judged many field trials. He had many friends from various Beagle clubs and will be sadly missed.
He was a mechanic and supervisor with several companies, including the General Cigar Co. of Philipsburg until its closing. He was then employed with C-cor Electronics in State College and lastly with the Cannondale Plant in Black Moshannon, rural Philipsburg, until his retirement. He was a 1955 graduate of the Philipsburg High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Anthony W. Pavlick II.
Along with his wife, Mr. Pavlick is survived by a daughter, Patty Shaw and her husband, Jeff of Philipsburg; a sister, Helen Leskovansky of Philipsburg; and five grandchildren, Brianna Pavlick, Mandi Reed, Clay Shaw, Paige Shaw and Roxanne Shaw, along with her son, Cameron Dixon, who were especially close to Mr. Pavlick and his wife, Beatrice and resided with them. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg.
