CLEARFIELD – The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library and Penn Highlands will offer the third program of the Health Literacy Awareness Series: MOVE!
In celebration of National Physical Fitness month in May, the third program of the Health Literacy Awareness Series: MOVE! will be held May 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the library. Lori Rancik, registered nurse and case manager at Penn Highlands Dubois, is the featured speaker for the evening.
At the program, attendees will learn about common orthopedic disorders (osteoporosis, arthritis, bursitis, etc.), how they begin in the body and who is at risk.
In addition, Rancik will share information on how to protect mobility and stay on the “MOVE” to a healthy lifestyle. A demonstration of weight resistance exercises will conclude the evening presentation.
This program supports the Health Literacy of the PA Forward | Pennsylvania Libraries initiative and is sponsored by Shaw Public Library and Penn Highlands DuBois.
