CLEARFIELD – A New York woman has been sentenced for bringing drugs into Clearfield County.
Lashanda Lashell Mount, 29, and two others were found with more than 38 grams of cocaine after a traffic stop in February of 2014, according to court documents.
Mount has pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Mount was sentenced to nine months to 16 months in jail and two years consecutive probation.
Both her co-defendants Shaking Devine Saunders and Edward Allen of Far Rockaway, New York were sentenced to 27 months to seven years in state prison in November.
President Judge Fredric Ammerman said she received a county sentence because she didn’t have a prior record.
According to grand jury testimony, a confidential informant told officers that the group had been in Clearfield for at least a week where they were selling drugs, primarily crack cocaine and cocaine.
