Michael Angelo Cimino 76, of Clearfield passed away on Feb. 15 at the Dubois Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Â
Born May 9, 1933 in Sabula, Dubois PA, he was the son of Ralph and Martha (Cardamone) Cimino. He worked for 35 plus years as manager of the State Store in Curwensville, and Houtzdale, and was co- manager of the Clearfield and Dubois State Stores. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He volunteered for the Clearfield Area Agency on Aging, was a member of the D.A.V. Disabled Veterans Organization, Dubois VFW and Dubois American Legion, and the Penfield Firemen’s. He was affiliated with the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield.
He is survived by his former wife Lottie Fay (Munn) Cimino, 3 daughters Diane Lynn Caddy of NJ, Barbara Ann Jones of Clearfield, and Tina Marie Dick and her husband Samuel of Oakland MD. 7 grandchildren and 3 sisters Anna Marie Serafini and Josephine Andrulonis and her husband Leonard all of Dubois, and Gloria Hieronimus and her husband Earl of FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers John and Eugene Cimino.
At the request of Mr. Cimino there will be no public viewing, private viewing will be held at the convenience of the family.
A public Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield on Feb. 18 at 10:00 a.m., withMsgr. H. Desmond McGee Jr. as celebrant. Military Honors will be accorded at the church by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the Morningside Cemetery Dubois.
