A person was killed and another injured when part of the Arch Rock overlook at Point Reyes National Seashore in Northern California collapsed, the National Park Service said.
The two people fell about 70 feet Saturday when the rock face along the Pacific Coast gave way.
Bluffs along the California coast are known for being unstable, according to the park service. The Arch Rock trail that runs along that part of the seashore has been closed until further notice.
Point Reyes National Seashore is located north of San Francisco.
