State police at DuBois
- An incident of DUI occurred Tuesday on Route 322 in Union Township. During the incident, a 40-year-old Sykesville woman was allegedly stopped for a traffic violation and determined to be under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for DUI and charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
- An incident of simple assault and harassment occurred Wednesday at the Arch Street Extension Apartments in Snyder Township. During the incident, a 24-year-old Brockway man allegedly shoved and choked the victim when arguing at their apartment. The man was housed at the Jefferson County Jail pending arraignment. State police also found drug paraphernalia at the apartment, which belonged to the man. Charges are currently pending at this time, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident at the Hyde light. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle along the Krebs Highway.
- Police received a report about an alleged fraud incident. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report regarding a civil complaint.
- Police received a report about a vehicle lockout and contacted towing services for assistance.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on the Checkerboard Bridge. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police responded to an activated burglary alarm along the Glen Richey Highway.
- Police responded to assist state police at Philipsburg regarding a missing juvenile. Police made negative contact with the juvenile.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespass in progress in Glen Richey. Police listed the incident as unfounded.
- Police received a report about a person who was allegedly attempting to get into a vehicle stopped at a traffic light on Route 322. Police checked the area but couldn’t locate anyone.
DuBois City
- A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of North Brady Street and Scribner Avenue on Monday. Further, a 46-year-old DuBois man was stopped for a red light when his vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle operated by a 46-year-old Penfield woman. No injuries were reported, and one vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about two men allegedly being engaged in a dispute Monday in the first block of North Church Street. During the incident, one man was retrieving belongings when the altercation occurred between them. The two men allegedly exchanged words and started shoving each other; one struck the other in the face, police said. The men separated prior to police arrival, and they didn’t want to file any charges.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm Monday at Cataldo’s Collision on Division Street. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK; the key holder advised it was an accidental alarm.
- Police cited a 24-year-old DuBois man for public drunkenness Tuesday after he was allegedly seen staggering on North Stockdale Street. He was released to his mother.
- Police received a report about an activated residential alarm Tuesday in the first block of North Third Street. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report that a 17-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl ran from the Pentz Run Youth Center on Tuesday. Police were able to locate the girls and transport them back to the center.
Sandy Township
- On Monday, employees of Murray Freightliner reported that someone broke the lock on a cash drawer and took $186.75 in cash. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- A Harper Road resident reported his neighbor was playing loud music on Monday. Police handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at FedEx on Monday.
- Police responded to an alleged domestic dispute at a Treasure Lake residence on Monday. Further, a 33-year-old woman reported that her brother-in-law would not leave the residence. Police handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Big Lots on Tuesday.
- On Tuesday, a 46-year-old Lewiston, NY man reported that someone hit and damaged a car he was hauling while his truck was parked in the Pilot parking lot.
- Police received a report about two Rottweiler dogs that were running loose near Morningside Cemetery on Tuesday. The dogs were gone upon police arrival.
