CNN caught up with Rep. Darrell Issa, R- California, at Austin’s notorious SXSW interactive festival. Among the many things discussed were Hillary Clinton’s email controversy. While Issa previously addressed the emails on CNN’s ‘State of the Union,’ he’s now making a new comparison, likening “email-gate” to Watergate.
“She is beginning to look like a modern, Democratic, Richard Nixon,” said the former House Oversight Committee chairman. “That’s not good for somebody who aspires to be president.”
Issa, who two years ago subpoenaed Clinton for all records relating to Benghazi, also said she should allow a forensic and independent analysis of her emails.
