AUSTIN – Visitors can celebrate the arrival of spring with a bird walk at Sinnemahoning State Park.
Despite the lingering snow and the below average temps this year, the spring winged migrants are making their way north to their summer homes.
Visitors can join Mark Johnson from the Allegheny Highlands Bird Club on a lakeside stroll in search of songbirds and waterfowl along the George B. Stevenson Dam.
Visitors should dress for the weather, wear boots or sturdy shoes and carry water. Visitors should also bring their own binoculars and field guides or borrow ours.
The program will be held March 21 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Visitors should meet at the Sinnemahoning State Park Lake Day Use Area
