CLEARFIELD – Four people were jailed after a traffic stop for a summary violation turned into a drug bust, reported the Clearfield Borough police today.
Marlon Treneil Womack, 25, of Lancaster has been charged with conspiracy/manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; use/possession of drug paraphernalia; and intentional possession of a controlled substance.
Adreanna Margot Torres, 20, also of Lancaster, has been charged with conspiracy/manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities; use/possession of drug paraphernalia; and intentional possession of a controlled substance.
Joshua Tyler Dillon, 29, of Philipsburg has been charged with conspiracy/manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; use/possession of drug paraphernalia; intentional possession of a controlled substance; and two summary traffic violations.
Tyler Jefferson Smith, 35, of State College has been charged with conspiracy/manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities; use possession of drug paraphernalia; intentional possession of a controlled substance; and false identification to a law enforcement officer.
Both Womack and Torres are incarcerated at the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. Both Dillon and Smith are incarcerated at the jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. All four are scheduled to appear for preliminary hearings on March 4 at the jail.
Police stopped the operator of a vehicle for a traffic violation at 7:37 p.m. Monday in the area of North Third and Bridge streets. Police allegedly detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle.
Dillon was the operator of the vehicle, police said, noting he was wanted on warrants from both the Pennsylvania State Police and Domestic Relations.
During the traffic stop, a passenger, Smith, allegedly provided police with a false name. Upon investigation police found Smith was using a false name due to a warrant for his arrest in Centre County.
According to police, a second passenger, Womack, was found to be wanted in Lancaster County. Dillon, Smith and Womack were all subsequently taken into custody by police.
While questioning a third passenger, Torres, police said she turned over a plastic bag, which she had in her purse, containing marijuana and $965 cash. Police also seized 21 packets of cocaine; 31 packets of heroin; and a small amount of pills.
In 2013, Womack was arrested by Lancaster City police for weapons and assault charges for allegedly shooting into an occupied vehicle, police said. “Clearfield police have noticed an increase in the amount of controlled substances coming from New York, Philadelphia, Lancaster and Baltimore to the Clearfield area.
Police added that, “The dealers are staying in hotels in State College, Altoona and Clearfield. The drugs are then being distributed to the smaller communities like Clearfield.”
Police said that they appreciate tips and leads from the public and investigate all of them. Police are asking the public to report any suspicious activity, so that it may be subject to investigation.
