Frank Gadzia, age 89, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on September 1, 1920 in Hillsville, PA. He is the son of the (late) Domenico and Rosaria (Graziano) Gadzia.
He was a World War II Veteran in the U.S. Navy.
He married Dorothy E. (Thomas) Gadzia on June 19, 1964. She survives and lives in Treasure Lake, DuBois.
He retired as a yard master from Republic Steel in Youngstown, Ohio after 36 years of service.
He was a member of the Treasure Lake Church and the American Legion George D. Montgomery Post #17.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Dr. Daryl W. List, of West Middlesex, PA, two daughters, Rev. Sandra Harknett of DuBois, PA and Susan Gadzia of Struthers, Ohio, a brother, James Gadzia of Hillsville, PA, a sister, Gennie Zarlengo of Pittsburgh, PA, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
