CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Feb. 9, 2015.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Jesse Lee Weidner, 37, of Bennetts Valley Highway, Penfield.
Shaw stated that Weidner is wanted for failure to appear at pre-trial conferences on Feb. 5, 2015.
On Aug. 29, 2014, Patrolman Elliott Neeper of the Lawrence Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint against Weidner. He charged Weidner with theft by unlawful taking, M1, and receiving stolen property, M1.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Aug. 9, 2014, police received a report about an alleged theft from a residence located on Baneyville Road, Clearfield. Upon investigation police found that Weidner, who had been evicted from the residence, had unlawfully removed $1,250 worth of items without the owner’s permission.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 29, 2014, at which time all charges were held for court. On Feb. 5, Weidner failed to appear for pre-trial conferences and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Weidner is described as a Caucasian male who stands 6 feet tall. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.
