State police at Clearfield
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Saturday in the Cooney’s Bar parking lot in Cooper Township. Further, a waitress observed the operator of a black Dodge truck crash into an unattended, parked vehicle; the suspect operator then fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of DUI occurred Sunday on Route 219 in Sandy Township. Further, a 46-year-old Brockport woman was stopped for several summary traffic violations; upon speaking with her, state police allegedly detected a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. The woman was subsequently arrested for DUI and other summary violations, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred Feb. 4 on West Mape Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 10-year-old Philipsburg boy was riding his bike and stopped in front of the victim’s residence. He allegedly walked over to the fence, which goes around the residence, and removed a round outdoor thermometer from it. The boy then fled the scene on his bike; the total value of the stolen thermometer is $20. A state trooper confronted the boy about the theft and returned the thermometer. The victim declined to file charges, state police said.
Clearfield Borough
- Police served a warrant on a male at his residence on Nichols Street, at which time a guilty plea was accepted.
- Police served a warrant on a male at his residence on Barclay Street. The male was able to pay the warrant in full, police said.
- Police served a warrant on a male at his residence on Witmer Street. The male was unable to pay the warrant and taken into custody. He was transported to Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland’s Office and then housed in the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police responded to a 9-1-1 call in which it is suspected that children were playing with a phone at an apartment complex on East Cherry Street. Police found everything to be OK.
- Police responded to a vehicle lockout at an establishment along Reed Street. Further, police were able to gain entry into the vehicle without damage.
- Police responded to a report about footprints in the snow outside of a residence on Maxwell Street. Further, police believed the footprints belonged to a Clearfield Municipal Authority employee as they led only to a water meter.
- Police responded to a report about loud music along East Locust Street. The actor was warned for his action, police said.
- Police were dispatched to South Third Street for an intoxicated male walking on the sidewalk. However, the male was gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a report about a vehicle stuck along School Avenue. Upon arrival police learned that the male operator was intoxicated. He was arrested for the suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending the result of a blood test, police said.
- Police responded to East Locust Street for a parking complaint. The vehicle was gone upon arrival, police said.
- Police responded to East Market Street for a parking complaint and issued a ticket.
- Police received a report about custody over a child. Both parties were advised that it was a civil matter and directed to contact lawyers.

- Police received a report about a male who was shoveling snow onto Nichols Street. The male was advised how it could be a traffic hazard and warned for his actions.
- Police received a report about custody over a child along Northwest Fourth Avenue. Both parties were advised that it was a civil matter and directed to contact lawyers.
- Police responded to a vehicle lockout at an establishment along Nichols Street. Police were able to gain entry into the vehicle without damage.
- A purse was found and turned into police. It can be claimed by the owner at the Clearfield Borough police station.
- Police responded to an overdose at a residence along North Third Street. The male was transported to Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital.
- Police responded to an alleged verbal domestic along West Pine Street. Both parties were separated without incident, police said.
- Police responded to an alleged fight in progress in a parking lot along Nichols Street. Upon investigation police learned that a male was accused of inappropriately touching himself in public view while staring at a female inside an establishment. The male became defensive when confronted and engaged into a physical altercation with another patron. The incident remains under investigation at this time and the appropriate charges will be filed, police said.

- Police received a report regarding an alleged identity theft. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.

- Police responded to Rocky Lane to check the welfare of an individual. Upon arrival police found the individual to be having a possible overdose and they were transported to the hospital.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident in the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was driven from the scene, police said.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident on Nichols Street.

- Police received a report about suspicious activity at the Salvation Army. Upon arrival police checked the area but couldn’t locate anyone.

Decatur Township
- Police received a report about a property dispute over fallen trees. Further, police contacted the parties involved and no further investigation is necessary.
- Police received a report about a 9-1-1 hang-up call at a Decatur Street residence. Upon arrival police found that someone called by mistake and there wasn’t any emergency.
- Police have been serving warrants on several wanted people in the Decatur Township area.
- Police have received parking complaints and issued tickets in the Houtzdale area.
- Police have received traffic complaints in the Decatur Township and Houtzdale areas. Police would like to encourage motorists to follow all traffic laws.
DuBois City
- On Friday, police received a report about an activated alarm at the United Way. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- On Friday, a Chevrolet Silverado was parked in the 400 block of South Main Street and struck by an unknown vehicle. The truck sustained a large dent as a result; the incident remains under investigation, police said.
- A Ford Explorer operated by a 71-year-old St. Marys woman was struck by a Ford F-150 truck Friday at the intersection of South Brady Street and Shaffer Avenue. Neither the operator nor her passenger sustained any injuries. The truck’s operator who was later identified as a 38-year-old Penfield man left the scene without exchanging information. With assistance from a witness, police were able to locate the truck at Showers Field just off of Maple Avenue. The operator was found under the influence of drugs, police said, noting assistance from a Drug Recognition Expert from the Pennsylvania State Police. Police also noted that charges will be filed pending blood test results.
- A Ford Mustang operated by a 30-year-old DuBois man was struck Friday at the intersection of Jeffers Street and Hoover Avenue by a white, four-door foreign car. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene. The operator of the Mustang wasn’t injured and his vehicle sustained moderate damage to its rear bumper and muffler system, police said. The suspect vehicle was described as having dark-tinted windows and should have damage to its front. Anyone with information is asked to contact DuBois City police.

- A Ford Focus operated by a 22-year-old Penfield man was stopped Sunday on East DuBois Avenue after he was allegedly observed committing traffic violations. During the stop, police found he had been consuming alcohol and he was arrested for DUI. He was transported for blood testing and charges are pending blood test results, police said.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm Sunday at Farmers National Bank. Upon arrival police found cleaning personnel had activated the alarm.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call Saturday from Willamette on Shaffer Road. Police investigated the area and could not find the source of the call.
- A 42-year-old DuBois woman reported receiving harassing phone calls and texts from her 43-year-old estranged boyfriend on Saturday. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Saturday, a 43-year-old Punxsutawney woman reported that she was stopped at the Wal-Mart exit waiting for traffic to clear when she was hit from behind by a white sedan that pushed her out onto Route 255. The vehicle then made an illegal left-hand turn and left the scene. The woman pulled over in the parking lot of the DuBois Lanes and was transported to Penn Highlands because she stated her back hurt. There was no visible damage to the vehicle, police said.
- A 29-year-old DuBois woman reported that while she was driving on Sykes Street Extension on Saturday, a piece of ice fell off of another vehicle and hit her windshield, cracking it. No injuries were reported, police said.
- A 49-year-old DuBois woman reported that her 49-year-old estranged boyfriend had kicked her out of the house several weeks ago, at which time she had left some belongings there. She stated she was afraid he was going to burn her belongings. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Sunday, a vehicle driven by a Brockport man pulled from Oklahoma Cemetery Road into the path of a vehicle driven by an Emporium man, causing the two to collide. No injuries were reported; both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police observed a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Anita man driving erratically on South Brady Street on Sunday. When the vehicle was pulled over, police detected the odor of alcohol, and had the man perform field sobriety testing, which he failed. He was transported to Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- An 18-year-old Reynoldsville woman reported being harassed at the DuBois Mall by her boyfriend’s 20-year-old estranged girlfriend. Police handled the situation without incident.
