CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough police have arrested Randy Gillen Jr., 28, of Clearfield for theft and related charges after he was allegedly observed stealing mislaid cash from a bank drive-thru.
Gillen allegedly stole $500 cash, which had been left behind in the bank drive-thru. An arrest warrant was obtained, as Gillen had several other active arrest warrants, police said.
Police executed the warrant at a residence in Edgewood on Wednesday morning. Gillen was found hiding inside a closet and taken into custody.
Gillen was arraigned on charges before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland. He was incarcerated in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
The Lawrence Township police and the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene. Police also located drug paraphernalia and illegal drugs inside the residence.
