CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC) has again partnered with Starr Hill Winery; artist Jodi Grumblatt, The Liddle Gallery; and graphic designer Ian Aughinbaugh for the release of the fifth edition Wine of Clearfield.
The wine will debut at the 2015 Groundhog Wine Festival to be held Saturday at the Expo II Building of the Clearfield Fairgrounds. Grumblatt and Aughinbaugh will also be available to autograph your collector’s bottle. One dollar from each bottle sold is donated to the CRC to further its Main Street revitalization efforts.
Aughinbaugh has created the label for the past five years. He stated, “Now that we’re a few years into this, I look forward to designing the label for not only the opportunity to create, but also the challenge to creatively display a different aspect of Clearfield each year.
“Between the CRC, Starr Hill Winery, The Liddle Gallery and I, we all put our heads together and come out with a winsome label design. [I would like to give a] special thank you to artist Jodi Grumblatt, The Liddle Gallery, for usage of this particular painting.”
Kenn Starr of Starr Hill Winery continued, “We have partnered with the CRC for the past five years and have contributed close to $2,000 and look forward to seeing the success and enthusiasm with the CRC.
“Starting in January, we are on the road doing over 56 wine festivals throughout the state of Pennsylvania. We always seem to find someone that is from the area and loves the wine. They all say they need a bottle of hometown Clearfield.”
The new fifth edition bottle can be purchased at any Starr Hill Winery location; inside County Market Philipsburg; the Clearfield Mall; inside Shop ‘n Save Dubois; and the winery in Curwensville.
Starr Hill Vineyard & Winery produces more than 40 different wine choices and thousands of gallons each year.
Main Street Manager Loretta Wagner stated, “The CRC is grateful to Starr Hill Winery, Jodi Grumblatt, and Ian Aughinbaugh for their generosity and support of Clearfield’s Main Street Program. This partnership serves not only to support our revitalization efforts, but also to provide the community with a product, which is uniquely theirs.”
