CLEARFIELD – With intense snowy weather moving through the area, the start of work to replace a bridge on state Route 504 at Black Moshannon State Park has been pushed into the week of Febr. 15.
During that week, a temporary, one-lane bridge and a temporary traffic signal will go into effect so that the current bridge can be removed. The bridge is located on Route 504 over the lake in Black Moshannon State Park. The temporary signal will allow motorists to alternate turns crossing the one-lane bridge. Width restriction on the temporary bridge is 12-feet. PennDOT expects the new bridge to be open to traffic in late July of this year.
HRI, Inc. of State College is the contractor on this $1.8 million job.
PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
