State police at Clearfield
- On Sunday, a 44-year-old Curwensville man allegedly refused to allow the victim to have their child during a scheduled visitation.
- On Sunday, a 21-year-old Philadelphia woman was allegedly found in possession of marijuana at the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale. Charges have been filed against the woman; however, the investigation is ongoing at this time, state police said.
- An incident of disorderly conduct occurred Saturday at the County Market store in Decatur Township. During the incident, two Philipsburg men allegedly caused a disturbance by screaming and yelling at the victim. The men left the store after being asked by management, state police said, adding charges are being filed against both through the district court.
- A three-vehicle accident occurred Saturday on Route 322 in Boggs Township. Cory P. Kandare of Clearfield was traveling eastbound and negotiating a left-hand curve in the roadway. Dennis Hollabaugh Sr. of Philipsburg and Marie U. Smith of Clearfield were traveling westbound when Kandare lost control of his vehicle. The Kandare vehicle subsequently crossed over into the westbound lane and impacted the driver’s side of the Hollabaugh vehicle, which slid sideways until coming to a rest in the westbound lane. The Kandare vehicle continued traveling in the westbound lane until impacting with the front end of the Smith vehicle. After impact, the Kandare vehicle traveled off the north berm and came to a rest. Kandare, Hollabaugh and Smith were all transported for medical treatment at Mount Nittany Medical Center. All three were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. Kandare was cited for the accident.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of burglary occurred Saturday at RJ’s Pub in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly broke into the business and removed approximately $900 from behind the counter. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- Sometime from Jan. 17-19, someone set an abandoned vehicle on fire on Strawband Beaver Road in Rush Township. The victim’s abandoned vehicle was a 1999 Grand Prix, state police said.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a motorist who was allegedly intoxicated on Spruce Street. Further, police didn’t locate the vehicle.
- Police received a report about an alleged verbal domestic dispute on East Eighth Street.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on East Market Street. Further, a known motorist reported to police that he struck a vehicle and left the scene of the accident to report it. When he returned, the other vehicle was gone.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle on East Market Street. The occupants were allegedly pointing a laser beam at others.  The vehicle was allegedly a green Chevrolet Monte Carlo, police said.
- Police assisted a disabled motorist on Nichols Street.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on Nichols Street.
- Police have initiated an investigation into the alleged theft of a diaper bag from a vehicle in the 300 block of East Cherry Street. The bag was later located inside a Fullington bus that was parked in a lot off of East Cherry Street.
- Cash was located on a sidewalk downtown and turned into police; police are looking for the owner.
- Police received a report about a possible waterline break along South Sixth Street. Upon arrival police located a large amount of water entering the roadway. As a result, police contacted the Water Authority, which responded to the scene.
- Police received a report about a female who had fallen outside and needed medical attention on North Second Street. Upon arrival police found the female had several cuts and was highly intoxicated. She was transported to the hospital for treatment, police said.
- Police received a report from a male who believed that someone had stolen his vehicle while it was parked along North Third Street. Police located the vehicle a short distance from where he believed it was parked at. Police noted that the vehicle wasn’t stolen.
- Police responded to West Sixth Avenue for a parking complaint. Upon arrival to the area, police didn’t locate the vehicle.
- Police were requested check the welfare of a male on South Second Street. Upon arrival police located the male who was upset and in need of assistance.
- Police arrested a male for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order. The male was taken to the Clearfield County Jail, police said.
- Police located a female who was allegedly intoxicated and walking along South Third Street near East Cherry Street. The female was taken into custody and issued a citation for public drunkenness. The female was released to a sober adult, police said.
- Police responded to a vehicle lockout in the area of South Third and East Walnut streets. Further, police were able to gain entry without damage.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment at a local establishment along South Third Street. It was reported that a male was sending threatening text messages to the female. However, the complaint was unfounded, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged assault in the area of Martin Street and School Avenue. However, the complaint was unfounded, police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on Spring Street.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with handling an incident involving someone taking items from vehicles.
- Police assisted the operator of a disabled tractor-trailer on Martin Street Extension.
- Police were requested for public assistance at a residence on Hoover Avenue.
- Police received a report about an accident on Mount Zion Road.
- Police were requested for public assistance at a local business.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on Hoover Avenue in Hyde. No injuries were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about a traffic complaint regarding plowed snow on Brown Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam in the Clearfield area. Callers are allegedly posing as representatives from the Publisher’s Clearing House but want people to send a money gram in order to collect winnings. It was noted that the calls originate from Kingston, Jamaica. Police would like to warn people to not provide any personal information to unknown callers.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident in the area of the Route 322/Route 879 on-ramp. No injuries were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a local business on South Second Street. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about a 9-1-1 hang-up call on Park Street Extension. Further, police found it was an accidental dial.
- Police received a report about a 9-1-1 hang-up call on Mapes Avenue. Further, police found it was an accidental dial.
- Police have initiated an investigation into an all-terrain vehicle accident in the Glen Richey area.
- Police received a report about a civil issue.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications on Good Street. Further, police contacted both parties involved with the incident.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident.
DuBois City
- A two-vehicle accident occurred Friday on the Sandy Bridge. Further, a vehicle operated by a DuBois woman was stopped for a red light at the intersection with Schaffer Avenue. Another vehicle operated by a Punxsutawney woman rear-ended the DuBois woman’s vehicle. No injuries and minor damage were reported, police said.
- On Saturday, a DuBois man was stopped for traffic violations that occurred while he was traveling on Maple Avenue. He was allegedly found to have been consuming alcohol and taken into custody for suspected DUI. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- On Saturday, a DuBois woman reported that her estranged husband violated a protection from abuse order. He was arraigned and released on unsecured bail; however, less than an hour after his release, he was allegedly observed sitting inside a vehicle and watching for his wife who was at a friend’s home. The man was subsequently taken into custody and placed in jail, police said.
Decatur Township
- Police assisted with locating wanted persons.
- Police received a report about an accident on Stone Street in Decatur Township. Further, a tri-axle exited the roadway and overturned onto its side; this closed the roadway for several hours and traffic was detoured around the scene. Police were assisted by the Osceola Mills Fire Department.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute in Decatur Township. Upon arrival police handled the incident at the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged debit card scam. Further, the victim told police that someone had been making charges on their debit card for several months. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police assisted a motorist who was unable to enter her vehicle. Further, police were able to unlock her vehicle.
- Police received a report about an accident involving a school bus on School House Road. Further, the bus slid into a ditch due to the icy roadway. No injuries were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft from storage units located in Decatur Township. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft involving someone who used the victim’s credit card to make purchases.
- Police assisted the operator of a tractor-trailer who was stuck on Hannah Street and unable to turn around.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Spring Street. Upon arrival police found the operator swerved to miss a deer and lost control of their vehicle. Their vehicle subsequently struck the guiderails and was towed from the scene, police said.
