Joan A. (Queen) Visnofsky, 74, of Beccaria went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at her residence.
She was born Feb. 12, 1940, at Berwensdale, a daughter of Milford and Bessie (Dotts) Queen.
She was a member of the Irvona Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She was a homemaker.
She enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking, making crafts and doing puzzle books.
On Sept. 5, 1964 in the Coalport United Methodist Parsonage, she married Frank Visnofsky. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1982.
She’s survived by a daughter and three sons, Ruby Cook and her husband, John, Frank Visnofsky and his wife, Michelle and Raymond Visnofsky and his wife, Elizabeth, all of Beccaria, and Bobby Visnofsky and his wife, Stephanie of Hegarty’s Crossroads; seven grandchildren, Roxanne Sallurday and her husband, John, Gary Jasper, Renee Lender and her husband, Mark, Raymond Visnofsky Jr., Sharleen Visnofsky, Frank Visnofsky III and Michael Visnofsky; and three great-grandchildren, Gage Sallurday, Dominik Jasper and Brielle Jasper.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margie Spencer and Phyllis Gallaher and eight brothers, Harry, Lynn, Perry, Elwood, John, Curt, Edward and Garrison Queen.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Friday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Irvona Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with Pastor Doug Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Ramey.
