Obituary Notice: Donald W. Ross

Donald W. Ross, 72, of Clearfield died Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 at his home.

Born Nov. 13, 1942 in Milroy, he was the son of the late Charles and Carolyn (Spicer) Ross.  He married Dixie L. (Wisor) Ross on Aug., 19, 1964 in Philipsburg; she preceded him in death on Dec. 3, 2009.

Mr. Ross was of the Christian faith.  He was retired as a self-employed painter.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Jimmy Denochick and three sisters, Elizabeth Miller, Dorothy Quick and Aretta Conklin.

Mr. Ross is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Ross and Lisa Ross and her companion, Kenneth Picard, both of Clearfield, and two sons, Donny Ross and his wife, Misty of Osceola Mills and Howard Ross and his wife, Velda of Mineral Springs.

He’s also survived by five sisters, Mary Singer of Brisbin, Betty Conklin and her husband, Robert and Donna Knepp, both of Wallaceton, Nancy Krouse of West Decatur and Barbara Geer and her husband, Robert of Mahaffey; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

At Mr. Ross’ request, there will be no viewing or funeral service.  Burial will be at Reidy Cemetery in Wallaceton.

Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
