Frances M. Bohensky Rypcinski, 86, of DuBois died Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 at Nelson’s Golden Years.
Born Feb. 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Louise “Lula” (Davie) Salada.
She was married to Martin Frank Bohensky. He preceded her in death in February of 1981.
She was a graduate of the Bradford Hospital School of Nursing.
She retired from the DuBois Regional Medical Center after 35 years of service, working in the operating room as a registered nurse.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DuBois. She was an American Red Cross volunteer.
She also helped at the food pantry and participated in the activities at the DuBois Senior and Community Center. She enjoyed making crafts.
She is survived by two sons, Martin E. Bohensky and his wife, Mandy and Donald L. Bohensky and his wife, Frankie, both of DuBois, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Eugene Salada and a sister, Hazel Nogacek.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
Due to a family medical obligation, the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Lance Tucker officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
