REYNOLDSVILLE – Jeff Tech would like to announce its December student of the month, Dylan Berkey. Berkey is a junior in the CTE precision machining program at Jeff Tech.
Berkey lives with his parents, Alan and Kathy Berkey in Luthersburg. He’s been on the A honor roll at Jeff Tech for the first nine-week marking period.
Due to Berkey’s participation in the cooperative learning program at Jeff Tech, he’s currently unable to be involved in many of the extra-curricular activities the school offers to students.
He is currently employed through the co-op program at Niagara Cutter in Reynoldsville, as a CNC operator. He works roughly 44 hours per week.
In his spare time, Berkey enjoys hunting and fishing. He also thoroughly enjoys his work experience at Niagara Cutter, stating, “It is not like most other machine shops.
“It is clean with extremely advanced equipment. The people I work with are very nice and helpful.”
Upon graduation, Berkey would like to continue working for Niagara Cutter.
