DUBOIS – The investigation is continuing into an apartment building fire that occurred Wednesday at 15 N. Jared St. in DuBois, reported the state police at Ridgway.
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the DuBois City Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire heavily damaged a two-story, wooden-framed apartment building, state police said.
The fire originated on the second floor of building; none of the second floor tenants were at home at the time of the fire. The first floor tenants were inside their apartment but escaped without injury, state police said.
No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $75,000, according to state police. It was noted that the cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
