DUBOIS – A 20-year-old DuBois man, Brandon Ryan Runyon, has been accused of having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl in July, reported the DuBois City police today.
According to the report, while on patrol in the early hours on July 8, police encountered the alleged victim who was intoxicated and being assisted with walking home. Upon investigation police found a man had sexual contact with her.
Also, police found that Runyon had contacted the alleged victim on Facebook and invited her to a party. Police said that while at the party, Runyon provided the alleged victim with alcohol and had sexual intercourse with her.
Upon completion of the investigation, police filed charges against Runyon on Nov. 20. He’s been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse; statutory sexual assault; aggravated indecent assault; indecent assault; corruption of minors; furnishing alcohol to a minor; and underage drinking.
On Monday, police served an arrest warrant on Runyon, and he was taken into custody. Runyon was arraigned and lodged in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. Runyon’s preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Dec. 5.
