Doris E. (Lehman) Lee, 95, of Madera died, Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Caryn L. Southern of Amesville.
She was born April 23, 1919, the daughter of the late Louis L. and Ruby L. (Shoff)Â Lehman.
She was a life-long member of the Madera Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Tri C class and Sunday school class.  She also was a life member of the Tyrone Chapter of the Eastern Star.
She graduated from the Bigler Township High School in 1937 and later from the Altoona Beauty School. She was the owner and operator of Doris’ Beauty Shop in Madera for 35 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also had a great fondness for cats.
She’s survived by a daughter, Caryn L. Southern of Amesville; three grandchildren, James L. Southern of Madera, Robert J. Southern Jr. and his wife, Traci of Atlantic and Jennifer L. Jones and her husband, Dr. Ernest Jones, MD of San Antonio, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Derek and Tanner Southern and Maura Jones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Lee on Feb. 8, 1984. They were married Jan. 10, 1946 in Cherry Tree. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. John Foster Lehman, MD and Glenn Lehman.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kruise Funeral Home, Madera.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.
