State police at DuBois
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Monday or Tuesday along Route 153 in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly struck the left, front fender of the victim’s car with an unknown cylindrical object, which caused a dent. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
- An accident occurred Tuesday on Interstate 80 in Pine Creek Township. Roger A. Gates of DuBois was traveling eastbound in the right-hand lane when a deer ran in front of his vehicle. Gates was unable to avoid impact with the deer; upon impact he pulled his vehicle onto the south berm of I-80.
- An accident occurred Monday on Route 28 west of Cemetery Road in Warsaw Township. Further, the operator of a Ford Taurus was traveling southbound and negotiating a left-hand curve. At the same time, the operator of a Subaru Forester attempted to reverse out of a privately-owned driveway. The Taurus’ operator was unable to come to a complete stop and struck the rear, right side of the Forester, which failed to yield the right-of-way. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An accident occurred Tuesday on the Port Matilda Highway north of Red Oak Lane in Rush Township. Melissa R. Ball of Frenchville was traveling eastbound when a deer ran out in front of her vehicle from the south side of the roadway. The deer impacted the front, passenger’s side bumper and fender area of the Ball vehicle. Ball’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Ball was wearing her seatbelt and didn’t sustain any injuries as a result of the accident. State police were assisted at the scene by PennDOT personnel.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Sunday or Monday on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Jay Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged a patio door window and then fled the scene. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
Clearfield Borough
- Police assisted an individual with unlocking their vehicle along East Cherry Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute inside a vehicle on Bigler Avenue. The vehicle, police said, was gone upon arrival.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a tractor-trailer that had become disabled along Route 879.
- Police assisted emergency medical services with an incident along Nichols Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications.
- Police responded to East Market Street where the operator of a vehicle had reportedly struck a fence and left the scene.
- Police responded to Sheetz for a male who was allegedly intoxicated. Upon arrival police observed the male who was intoxicated. The male, police said, was released to a friend and will be cited for his actions.
- Police responded to Daisy Street for a parking complaint. The vehicle, police said, was moved prior to their arrival at the scene.
- Police handled an alleged trespassing complaint from a resident along Linden Street.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with an alleged disturbance along Shaw Street.
- Police received a report about a group of people on the porch of a South Second Street residence. Upon arrival police were unable to locate anyone in the area.
- Police assisted EMS with an alcohol overdose.
- Police unlocked a vehicle along Nichols Street.
- Police responded to a minor accident along South Second Street. No injuries were reported and the vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about damage to a vehicle on Nichols Street. Further, someone allegedly damaged the vehicle while it was parked overnight.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications on Tuesday. The persons, police said, were warned of their actions.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with locating a generator Tuesday on Bridgeport Road.
- Police have initiated an investigation into the alleged assault of a juvenile.
- A known female allegedly entered a South Street residence on Tuesday and assaulted an individual. The suspect, police said, fled the scene.
- Police contacted animal control about an injured dog in the area of Water Street on Tuesday. The animal, police said, was taken to the veterinarian.
- Police located a couple Tuesday in the area o Schofield and Meadow streets. Further, a male was placed in jail for public drunkenness; the female was issued citations for public drunkenness and harassment.
DuBois City
- On Monday, police initiated an investigation into the alleged theft of prescription medications from a residence in the 200 block of East Sherman Avenue.
- On Tuesday, a 20-year-old Penfield man was arrested for an alleged incident of retail theft for stealing items at Sheetz on North Brady Street. It was noted that he had allegedly been consuming alcohol. Also, a 20-year-old DuBois woman who was with the man had allegedly been consuming alcohol. Both were cited for underage drinking as a result of the incident.
Sandy Township
- On Monday, a 21-year-old DuBois woman reported that her 26-year-old ex-boyfriend has been harassing her, co-workers and family. Police made contact with the Rockton man and handled the situation without incident.
- On Monday, a 30-year-old Denton Avenue man reported that someone smashed out the windshield of his vehicle that was parked at his residence.
- Pilot employees reported that an older male who was driving a pick-up with a box trailer hit the fuel pump Tuesday, knocking it off the base. He then left the scene.
- On Tuesday, an 86-year-old woman reported receiving a scam call from someone claiming to be her grandson who was in jail and in need bail money. When she told the caller she did not have a grandson, they hung up on her. The man called back and stated that he was her nephew and she hung up on him. Police would like to advise residents that these types of calls are scams and not to release any personal information.
- On Tuesday, a Hungry Hollow Road man reported an ongoing problem with loud vehicles traveling on the road. Police have increased patrols in the area.
- A 20-year-old Penfield man lost control of his vehicle Tuesday on the Bee Line Highway. His vehicle traveled off the roadway, hitting an embankment and going airborne before overturning in a ditch. No injuries were reported, police said.
