CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Model Railroad Club recently issued a call for downtown Clearfield businesses to create a model of their building. CNB was able to answer that call with the help of local resident, Taylor Boyle.
Boyle is a 2009 graduate of Clearfield Area High School and a 2013 graduate of Kent State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in architecture. Boyle used this background to build the model by applying photos of the “storefront” to matte board.
The Model Railroad Club will be featuring the completed business models at the Clearfield Revitalization Corp.’s Fall Festival this Saturday. The community will be able to vote on the best model by casting a penny per vote. The club will then put together a model of downtown Clearfield and unveil it at the CRC’s Bloom and Berry Bash in June of 2015.
