State police at Ridgway
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Thursday at a residence on Mefferts Run Road in Jones Township. Further, someone allegedly damaged the victim’s mailbox by using an explosive device. The incident remains under investigation at this time and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment via phone calls. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a patient at the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital who was allegedly causing a disturbance. The incident was handled at the scene, police said.
- Police responded to a complaint about a dog that was inside a vehicle while it was parked along Third Street. Upon arrival police found that the owner was checking on the dog periodically and it was not in distress.
- Police responded to Bigler Avenue for a female who was allegedly walking in the roadway. Upon arrival police searched the area but couldn’t locate the female.
- Police stopped the operator of a vehicle along South Front Street for a traffic violation and found the male to be driving with a suspended license. He was from out-of-state and transported to the magistrate’s office to be arraigned on the violations.
- Police responded to a traffic complaint along Second and Market streets.
- Police responded to Sheetz for a minor accident. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police responded to a minor accident at the intersection of Third and Bridge streets.
- Police responded to East Market Street for a parking complaint. Further, a parking ticket was issued to the owner of the vehicle parked on private property.
- Police recovered a wallet located near Choice along South Second Street. Further, police were able to make contact with the owner of the wallet.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an animal complaint on Guinea Hill Road where horses were on the roadway.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred on McGeorge Road.
- Police received a report about a suspicious female along Riverview Road. Upon arrival police found the woman was “spreading the word” of the Lord.
- Police received a report about an Oklahoma identification card and other cards that were found at the Clearfield Soccer Fields off of Coal Hill Road. Police ask the owner to contact police or to stop by the station.
- Police received a report about a disabled tractor-trailer on Route 879. Clearfield state police assisted at the scene.
- Police received a report about a noise complaint on Washington Avenue. Upon arrival police spoke with the owner of the residence who turned his music off.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident at the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital.
DuBois City
- A 31-year-old New Jersey man was arrested Wednesday for possession of marijuana. He was allegedly found smoking it in a vehicle in the 500 block of Liberty Boulevard. The man was arraigned and lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police received a report about an alarm at EOG Resources, located in the 100 block of Beaver Drive, on Thursday. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- A 26-year-old DuBois woman was arrested Thursday after she was found highly intoxicated on South Franklin Street. She also had her 3-year-old son with her and he was allegedly only dressed in a pair of underwear and without any socks or shoes.
