Clearfield Borough
- Police investigated a report about gunshots being fired near the area of the 800 block of East Locust Street.
- Police responded to the parking lot of the Sheetz store, where the operator of a red Ford Focus backed into another vehicle. Police noted that the operator fled the scene and was last seen traveling south at a high rate of speed on West Front Street towards West Pine Street. A witness told police that the Ford Focus had a spare tire on the passenger’s side. Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to contact the Clearfield Borough police.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic argument that occurred on the sidewalk near the intersection of West Front and West Pine streets.
- Police received a complaint about Chinese lanterns landing in the area of the 300 block of West Front Street. The caller, police said, was afraid the lanterns would cause a fire in the area.
- Police responded to a false alarm at the Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged trespass incident from a Fire Tower Road resident.
- Police received a report about an alleged criminal trespass incident that occurred on Susquehanna Avenue in Hyde.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person on Supercenter Drive.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a driver who was off of the roadway in the area of state Route 879 and U.S. Route 322. Further, police found the driver was OK.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on Montgomery Run Road. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment in the area of Garman Lane.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of burglary in the area of Weaver Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications from a township resident.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of burglary on Weaver Street. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of corruption of minors. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a call about a barking dog in the area of McNaul Street on Saturday.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute at an Arnoldstown residence. The incident, police said, was handled at the scene.
- On Saturday, police received a report about a lost dog, which is black and white in color, in the area of SR 452 and Irvin Park.
- Police received a noise complaint Tuesday in the area of Clark Street.
Sandy Township
- On Monday, a 36-year-old Byrnedale woman reported that a 39-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man with whom she stayed with took money and food stamps from her. The couple, however, stated that the woman gave them access to the money and food stamps. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- On Monday, a 44-year-old Circle Road resident reported receiving several calls from a man, saying she owed the federal government $800 and that the FBI would issue a warrant for her arrest if she did not pay it. The call was fraudulent in nature and Sandy Township police would like to advise residents to never give out personal information to unknown individuals or if a call doesn’t seem legitimate.
- A 21-year-old West Long Avenue man was caught attempting to take a cell phone case from Wal-Mart without paying for it on Tuesday. Retail theft charges were filed against him, police said.
- On Tuesday, a Salada Road man reported that his 16-year-old daughter had been missing since approximately 8:30 p.m. the night before when she went for a walk. He also had received a call from her school, which stated she was absent. Police contacted the girl’s cell phone and had her return home.
