State police at DuBois
- An incident of burglary/theft occurred Tuesday on Third Street in Falls Creek Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s residence and removed money, clothing and various other items. The total value of the stolen items is approximately $2,800, state police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
State police at Philipsburg
- An accident occurred Wednesday on Black Moshannon Road in Rush Township. Kaitlin Holt of Osceola Mills was traveling westbound when she lost control of her vehicle, as she negotiated a downhill, right-hand turn. Her vehicle started to rotate counter-clockwise, traveled across the eastbound lane and exited the roadway into a wooded area. At that point, her vehicle traveled through the wooded area, overturned end-over-end and then landed on its roof. A witness, state police said, assisted Holt in exiting her vehicle and she was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of a head injury. Holt was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, which state police noted likely saved her from a more serious injury.
- On Sept. 7-8, an incident of burglary occurred at the band boosters’ concession stand at Memorial Football Field in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the stadium grounds, proceeded to the concession stand and kicked its door open.
- An incident of harassment occurred Tuesday in the area of North Sixth Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, two Philipsburg teens engaged in a physical altercation. Charges, state police said, have been filed through the district court.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sept. 6 in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly deflated three tires on the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- An incident of theft from a motor vehicle occurred Sept. 14 in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took approximately three gallons of gas from the victim’s vehicle. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a suspicious person in the area of Mount Joy Road.
- Police received multiple complaints about motorists who speed on Mount Joy Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief at the Clearfield Area Junior – Senior High School.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Daisy Street Extension.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of a registration plate. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation on the Rockton Mountain Highway.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment on Baney Road.
- State police and Curwensville Borough police were assisted with serving an arrest warrant in Curwensville.
- Police received a report about a dog, which allegedly injured another dog.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person at the Edgewood Apartments. Upon arrival police found the male was wanted by another department.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on South Second Street. Further, police handled the incident at the scene.
- Police received a report about an accident at Sapp Bros.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an accident on McNaul Street. Further, a vehicle was traveling north uphill when it ended up in a culvert; it then overturned onto its driver’s side. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- Police apprehended a wanted male Wednesday at Irvin Park. The male, police said, was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
