Joseph Elnicki, 84, of DuBois died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born June 13, 1930 in West Liberty, DuBois, he was the son of the late Michael and Theresa (Procko) Elnicki.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Brockway Glass for 37 years in the Central Maintenance Department Travel Group.
He was a lifetime member of the James J. Patterson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 813, the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post No. 17, the I.P.S. Club and a member of the Olympic Club. He enjoyed golfing and traveling.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Ann Zedick, Olga Brown, Mary Williams and Nellie Muscato and four brothers, John, Andrew, Nicholas and Paul Elnicki.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Full military honors will be accorded from the funeral home by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in Sykesville.
