Lemoine J. Brink, 84, of LaJose, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, Aug. 5 2014 at his residence after a 20-year battle with Parkinson’s disease.
He was born Sept. 30, 1929 on the family farm in Chest Township, the son of Paul and Stella (Holes) Brink. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He loved and prayed daily for his family. He spent endless hours reading scriptures, teaching Sunday school, singing for his savior and serving his Lord.
Mr. Brink was a member of the Mcpherron Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
He worked as an office manager for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor, Armour Leather Co. of Westover and the Westover Leather Co. He was an avid gardener and hunter.
Surviving are his wife, Lilly (Wagner) Brink, whom he married Sept. 18, 1949 in Westover; a son, Roger and Sheryl Brink; and a daughter, Suzette Brink, all of LaJose.
Also surviving are a sister, Pauline Straw of Westover; his granddaughters, Heather M. Yarger and Holly D. (Alex) Murillo; his great-grandsons, Grant Yarger, Grady Yarger and Eathan Yarger and Noah Murillo; and a great-granddaughter, Christian Murillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ray and Eugene Brink; and a sister, Freeda Brink.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Aug. 8 at the Mcpherron Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, with Hiram Westover and Jonathan Keefer officiating.
