CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC) has received a $2,500 Local Giving Grant from the Wal-Mart Supercenter No. 2129.
The Local Giving Grant was used toward the second CRC Bloom and Berry Bash that was held on June 28. Additional funds will be used toward the CRC Fall Festival and Pumpkin Run 5K to be held in October.
The grant funds are also used for CRC Community Service projects, including Beautification Day and the Potter baseball team.
During Beautification Day, sidewalks are cleaned and flowers are planted in tree boxes throughout downtown by local volunteers and students. The Potter baseball team assists with cleaning the downtown parks and maintaining the volleyball court.
Main Street Manager Heather Bozovich stated, “Receiving this grant from Wal-Mart Supercenter No. 2129 truly helps the CRC continue our mission of revitalizing downtown Clearfield and making it a wonderful place to live and work.
“We could not continue our Community Service projects without the continued support from Wal-Mart. The CRC is very fortunate and grateful for their continued commitment to our program and our community.”
