Nellie A. Landini, 83, of DuBois died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at DuBois Penn Highlands.
Born March 30, 1931 in Force, she was the daughter of the late William and Stella (Vesnesky) McCluskey.
On Aug. 25, 1956, she married John Landini in the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. He survives.
She was a graduate of the St. Catherine School. She was a registered x-ray technician at the DuBois Hospital; after that she was a book keeper at the Penn Traffic Company for 18 years.
She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, where she was involved with the Altar Rosary Society and attended daily mass. She was also a Eucharistic minister at Penn Highland DuBois.
She was a loving wife, devoted mother and ever enthusiastic grandmother. She was fueled by her love of family, God and helping others.
She was widely known for her wonderful cooking and her loving spirit. She will be greatly be missed by her loving family and friends.
She’s survived by three children, John Landini and his wife, Karen of DuBois; David Landini and his wife, Elizabeth of Martindale; and Mary Rose Narus and her husband, Anthony of Linglestown; two sisters, Alverta Vasilauskas of Rockton and Anna Toney of DuBois; and nine grandchildren, Chelsea, Jacob, Patrick, Sarah, Aubree, Brandon , Nathan, Sydney and Jordan..
She was preceded in death by her brother, William McCluskey and her sister, Sister Jude McCluskey.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
The rosary will be prayed at 1:15 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A scriptural wake service will also be held at 1:45 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Catherine Cemetery.
